Good evening, Hugh Mercer Students and Families,    

This is your principal, Mr. Snyder, with your weekly update for the upcoming week. Thank you for the successful and wonderful opening week. All of us at Hugh Mercer were delighted to see your smiling faces and welcome you back to Hugh Mercer for what will be a great school year of learning and fun. 

Here are some important reminders and dates: 

Our school day commences promptly at 8:30 am each day. Ensuring that your student arrives on time is crucial, as any arrivals after 8:30 am will be considered tardy. We deeply value every minute of instructional time, and we want to make sure your student benefits fully from each moment. 

On Thursday, August 17, our PTA will be holding their first meeting of the 2023-2024 school year in the Hugh Mercer Library. The meeting will start at 5:30pm. 

Please take note that Monday, August 21st, is a half day for all students. On this day, students will be dismissed at 12:45 pm. Please make the necessary arrangements to ensure a smooth pickup for your child.
