Weekly Update from Principal Snyder, 11/13/2022

Good evening, Hugh Mercer Students and Families, 

This is your principal, Mr. Snyder, with your weekly Principal's update for the week ahead. Today’s message will cover events for this coming week and the following week when we have only two days of school prior to the start of our Fall break. There will be no Principal’s message on Sunday, November 20th.  

We hope everyone enjoyed last week’s field trips to the Sunshine Ball Park. Our PE team, teachers and staff did a great job of making it a fun day for all that attended.  

This Monday, November 14th is our Turkey Trot during school for each grade level. Information was sent home last week in student folders, but details can also be viewed on our website.      

Interims will go home on Wednesday, November 16, please review it with your child and contact their teacher if you have any questions or concerns. 

Our PTA meeting will take place this Thursday, November 17th at 5PM in the Hugh Mercer Library.   

On Tuesday, November 22nd, it will be an early dismissal day for Hugh Mercer students. We will dismiss at 12:45PM. This is also the start of FCPS schools’ Fall Break from November 23rd to 25th. FCPS schools and Hugh Mercer will return to school on Monday, November 28th.  

We are looking forward to having another great week at Hugh Mercer and learning and growing with each and every one of you.
