Superintendent Community Roundtable: AI in the Classroom

Last Thursday, October, we hosted our 13th Superintendent Community Roundtable, bringing students, FCPS leaders, and community partners together to discuss technology use and artificial intelligence in the classroom. Presentations on technology within the division and AI in schools helped set the stage for roundtable conversations and a student panel moderated by guest speaker Jason Graham. Thank you to Mr. Graham for guiding the panel discussion, to our students who shared their perspectives both on the panel and in conversations around the room, and to our community partners for their thoughtful questions and ideas.

Legislators Get a Firsthand Look at Learning in Our Schools

Last week, we welcomed both state and local legislators into our schools. Brief visits to all school campuses offered opportunities to see our exceptional students, teachers, and administrators in action and experience the learning taking place across the division. Thank you to our legislators for spending time in our schools and connecting with our school community!

ORANGE for Unity Day!

FCPS students and staff wore orange for Unity Day last week to show their support for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion. Together, we can help prevent bullying and make our schools welcoming places where every student feels they belong.

Looking for a Helping Hand?

We know that all families can benefit from a helping hand from time to time, whether it's connecting with local services, finding activities for kids, or learning about programs that make life a little easier. Our community is fortunate to have many wonderful organizations and resources available to support families in a variety of ways. Below, you'll find information about local programs and services that may be helpful to you and your family. We encourage everyone to explore these resources—many offer valuable support that can benefit families at any stage.

We want to thank School Social Worker Cat Eicke for compiling these incredible resources and helping connect our families with the support and services that strengthen our entire FCPS community!
